GOOGLE CLOUD

Video content & storytelling

Google Cloud was investing in a multi-million-dollar project to lay the first-ever subsea fibre cable connecting Canada and Japan.

Three videos were created to highlight:

  • the economic and social benefits of the cable in both markets

  • Google Cloud’s global infrastructure investments to improve connectivity, speed, and latency

  • the value of Google Cloud for C-suite decision-makers.

The approach humanised the story, connecting local people in each location to the water and land, while clearly communicating the technical and business benefits. One video was created from the Japanese perspective, one from the Canadian, and the third combined both stories.

Outcomes:

  • Translated a complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure project into a clear, human story that resonated with enterprise, government, and community audiences.

  • Created content for long-term use, supporting ongoing executive, stakeholder, and regional communications.

  • Enabled non-technical and C-suite audiences to quickly grasp the economic, social, and connectivity benefits of the subsea cable.
